Most dog owners quickly realize that behavior that may be "cute" for a puppy is unacceptable for a more mature or full-grown dog.  The Beginning Obedience course at First Place Dog Training is the first step in turning your energetic puppy or dog into a well mannered and obedient canine pet. A dog you are proud to own. Dogs 5 months old and older may join this 6 week course.  The group classes work on introducing your dog to such commands as:

• Heel
• Sit
• Stay
• Down
• Come

The Beginning Dog and Puppy Obedience training courses are conducted in McHenry IL and are great for modifying a dog's behavior. Problem areas that we cover, but are not limited to, include:

BEGINNING COLLEGE  2 - 3 hour class sessions.  Beginning obedience and behavior class.
This class is designed to reduce travel time and thus save gas for those clients who desire an accelerated course. You and your dog will come for an initial 3 hour session on Saturday, and we will cover weeks 1, 2 and 3 of the beginning class. We will take a week break in between sessions to allow you time to practice with your dogs, then you will attend the final 3 hour session which will cover weeks 4, 5, and 6 of the beginning class.
